Nektarios Antonopoulos Mitropolitis

Archimandrite Nektarios Antonopoulos was born in 1952 in Maroussi. He is a graduate of the Theological School of the University of Athens. Since 1987, he has been living at the Holy Monastery of Sagmata. He was ordained as a deacon in 1976 and as a priest in 1983. In 1991, he was elected abbot of the aforementioned Holy Monastery. At the same time, he serves in the Holy Metropolis of Thebes and Livadeia as a preacher and as the head of the Youth Department.
