Vasileios P. Moustakis

Vasileios P. Moustakis
Vasileios Moustakis, after completing his university studies, attended the School of Preachers of the Apostolic Ministry of the Church of Greece. He worked as a contributor (author or journalist) for various magazines (literary and religious) and newspapers. His name is primarily associated with two major intellectual projects: the publication of the unparalleled "Ark," which he co-directed with the renowned iconographer and writer Fotis Kontoglou, and the twelve-volume "Religious and Ethical Encyclopedia," where he served not only as the Editor-in-Chief but also as the cornerstone and guarantor of the project's continuity and consistency, collaborating with contributors from all Orthodox countries in the fields of theology and the broader realm of the spiritual sciences and arts. It is worth noting that similar efforts (in the 1930s and 1950s of the last century) had ceased shortly after they began. Here, without the pen, wisdom, moderation, and theological education of Vasileios Moustakis, we would likely have seen the same outcomes. Beyond being a Catechist and Preacher, Vasileios Moustakis contributed significantly to ecclesiastical journalism, and especially to the writing and translation of theological and literary works.
