Eleni PSychouli
Eleni Psychouli was born in 1963 in Volos. She studied French Philology at the University of Athens, directing at the Stavrakos Film School, and classical piano at the National Conservatory and the Ecole Normale in Paris. She worked for 16 years as an assistant to the sculptor Takis, specializing in catalog publications and public relations. She lived in Paris for 10 years. She translated 10 books from French for Livani Publishing. In 1999, she took over the restaurant column "Peina" for "Symbol," a supplement of the newspaper "Ependytis." For 4 years, she was responsible for the restaurant column in "Kappa," a supplement of "Kathimerini," and for another 4 years, the restaurant column in the weekly "Downtown" of Imako. During the first year of the newspaper "Proto Thema," she wrote the restaurant column in the Sunday supplement. She was also responsible for the gastronomic sections in the magazine "Blue" of Aegean Airlines and all the Special Editions publications of Imako. She worked as an editor at "View" of "Kathimerini" and "Gastronomos" of the same newspaper, from their inception until November 2007. For 5 years, she was responsible for all gastronomic sections, gastronomic supplements, and the restaurant column in "Esquire" magazine of Imako, as well as in "NITRO" magazine. For 1 year, she collaborated as a gastronomic editor for the free press newspaper "Lifo." In 2004, she worked as a gastronomic editor for the magazine "Eu Zin." For the past 4 years, she has been working as a gastronomic editor for "HOMME" magazine and the special supplements of the newspaper "Imerisia." She works as a special editor for "Vima Gourmet" and as a gastronomic editor for "BHMagazino," "V men," the travel supplements of the newspaper "Ta Nea," and "Maison & Decoration," and as a special collaborator for the magazine "Cook Book," a supplement of "Ethnos." She collaborates regularly with "Olive" magazine with a special restaurant column. In 2009, her first book was published by Fereniki Publishing, titled "25 Chefs in 25 Minutes." She has collaborated as a permanent editor with magazines such as "Marie Claire," "Maison & Decoration," "Votre Beaute," "Celebrity," "Pink," "Passport," "Grazia," and "FREE." She has also written forewords for cookbooks. She has participated in television shows, including the weekend magazine of NET with gastronomic topics in 2005, on NET and ANT-1 in the 1990s. Since October 2010, she has been presenting and curating the daily show "Chef on Air" on SKAI and works passionately for her website www.pirouni.gr
