CHristos K. Tsagalis
Ch. K. Tsaggalis is an Assistant Professor of Ancient Greek Philology in the Department of Philology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has been a postdoctoral fellow of the State Scholarships Foundation and a Special Scientist in the Department of Philology at the University of Crete. His research interests include epic poetry of the archaic period (Homer, Hesiod, Epic Cycle), metrics, and epigrams (classical and Hellenistic). He has published the book "Epic Grief: Personal Laments in Homer's Iliad" (Walter de Gruyter, 2004), as well as articles on Homer, Hesiod, Bacchylides, Herodotus, Xenophon, and Hellenistic Epigrams in Greek and international journals. He is preparing an extensive study on Attic funerary epigrams (metrical inscriptions) of the 4th century BC.
