Miltiadis Ntovas

Miltiadis Dovas was born in Ioannina in 1972. He studied philosophy and pedagogy at the University of Ioannina and is a doctoral candidate in philosophy at the University of Ioannina, as part of the second cycle of studies in the interdepartmental postgraduate program of the Department of Philosophy-Pedagogy-Psychology, "Greek Philosophy-Philosophy of Sciences." He also works as a public school teacher at the Aetos Primary School in Aetolia-Acarnania. Miltiadis Dovas has written various unpublished philosophical essays and over four hundred poems on diverse themes. A recent selection of these poems was published in his poetry collection "Andromeda One" in 2005 by Dodoni Publications. Dovas contributed his poems to the volume of the Panhellenic Anthology of Young Writers 2005, which was published under the initiative of the Panhellenic Union of Young Writers. Since 2005, he has been an active member of the Panhellenic Union of Young Writers, under whose auspices the poetry collection "Cries" was published. This collection covers a significant experiential aspect of his work, with the title "Cries" characteristically reflecting the anguished emotions towards the experiences and disappointments of an entire generation—the generation of occupations, as well as the generation of defeat and silence. Miltiadis Dovas belongs to this very generation and expresses through his poetry the lost and betrayed "resistance" dream that has been stifled by the silence of defeat.
