T. H. White

The British author Terence H. White was born on May 26, 1906, in Bombay. He studied at Cheltenham and Queen's College, Cambridge. A writer of novels, satirical, and historical works, he is best known for his tetralogy "The Once and Future King," which was based on the 15th-century author Sir Thomas Malory's work "Morte d'Arthur." He also wrote a detective novel, short stories, and poetry collections, as well as books on hunting and other sports. He passed away while traveling on January 17, 1964, in Piraeus, as he was returning to his country after a series of lectures he had given in America.
