Giannis Paschos

Giannis Paschos is an emeritus professor of ichthyology. He was born in Ioannina in 1954, studied Biology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and specialized in Molecular Biology and Genetics of aquatic organisms in Hungary and Norway. He worked at fish hatcheries and in 1997 took over the aquaculture laboratory at the Technological Educational Institute of Epirus. He participated as a scientific coordinator in numerous research programs, advisory committees, represented Greece in international meetings, served as president of scientific conferences, and was a reviewer for scientific journals. In 2016, he was awarded for his contributions to Ichthyology. His literary work includes poems, short story collections, novellas, and essays that remained unpublished for years. In March 2005, his first poetic work was published by Odos Panos editions under the title "Lila Teman." His poems, short stories, and writings have been published in the magazines Odos Panos, Farfoulas, Soul, Dromologio, Delear, Iambos, in newspapers such as Kathimerini, Eleftherotypia, Prin, Paron, Ipirotikos Agon, and online at poeticanet, protagon.gr, human traffic, toportal, frear, and Poiein.
