Giorgos P. Papadakis

George Pol. Papadakis was born in Athens. He graduated from Leonteios School of Nea Smyrni and then completed undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Operational Research, and European Culture. He has published six poetry collections, a short story collection, a novel, a theatrical play-fairy tale, seven studies-essays, and a volume of conversations-interviews with figures from the fields of intellect and art. In 2005, his work "The Roads of the Imaginary" was released, featuring studies and essays he curated and composed on the literature of the imaginary. In 2013, a volume of his studies on European culture was published. His essays and book reviews have been featured in literary magazines and newspapers. In October 2008, his book "The Little Fugitives and the House in the Forest" was presented at the cultural center of Montreal's city hall in Canada. In May 2014, the children's opera of the same title was performed in a theater in Moscow. His lyrics have been set to music by notable Greek composers. In 2002, he was awarded by the "Parnassos" Literary Society for his prose work.
