Georgios D. Papantonakis

Georgios D. Papantonakis was born in Crete. He holds a degree from the School of Philosophy at the University of Athens and a doctorate from the University of Ioannina. For many years, he served in secondary education in teaching and advisory roles. Since 2000, he has been teaching children's literature at the Department of Primary Education at the University of the Aegean, where he currently holds the position of Assistant Professor. He is a founding member of the Society of Modern Greek Dialectology, a current board member of the International Center of Writers and Translators "Waves of the Three Seas" (ICWT) based in Rhodes, a member of the editorial board of the magazine "Rodiaka Grammata," as well as the bilingual magazine published by ICWT, a member of the Panhellenic Pedagogical Association, and finally, a member of the Children's Literature Association in the USA.
