Konstantinos CHionidis

Konstantinos Chionidis (1916-2008) was born in Kotyora, Pontus. He studied at the Medical School of the University of Athens and later emigrated to the United States, where he served as a professor of anesthesiology at Boston University. In addition to his textbooks and medical papers, he authored the books "The Greek Pontus," 1983, "The Greek Pontow," 1988, "The Greek Pontians of the Black Sea," 1996, and "The Greeks on the Shores of Pontus," 1999. He was the editor of the bilingual magazine "Trapezous" in Greek and English, and also contributed to radio broadcasts and newspapers in Boston.
