Magdalen Nabb

Magdalen Nabb was born in a small village in England in 1947. She lost both of her parents at the age of just 13. From 1975—the year she divorced after 10 years of marriage—until her death, she lived in Florence. All her detective stories are set there, featuring the central character, Marshal Salvatore Guarnaccia, who is of Sicilian descent. Her first novel featuring Marshal Guarnaccia was published in 1981. In addition to detective novels, she also wrote children's literature. She passed away on August 18, 2007.
