Frédéric Lenoir

Frédéric Lenoir was born in 1962 in Madagascar. He is an academic, sociologist, philosopher, and historian of religions. A regular contributor to the magazines L' Express and Psychologies, he directed the magazine Le Monde des religions from 2004 to 2013 and has written numerous studies and articles. His research and writing focus on his three passions: the environment, spirituality, and religion. He has authored many essays and novels. For fifteen years, he gathered material and composed his entirely original novel ("The Prophecy of the Moon"), which, in addition to addressing the state of the Mediterranean in the 16th century, also delves into the theological and philosophical disputes of this turbulent period. In 2004, he co-authored the historical thriller "La Promesse de l'ange" with Violette Cabesos, which was awarded the Prix des maisons de la presse. Overall, his works have sold over 2,000,000 copies in 25 countries and have been translated into approximately 20 languages.
