Tasos Kaloutsas

Tasos Kaloutsas was born in 1948 in Thessaloniki, where he currently resides. He studied at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Thessaloniki and works as a teacher in secondary education. He made his literary debut in 1983 with short stories published in the magazine "Diagonal." Later, he collaborated closely with the magazines "Parafyada" and "The Tram" (third route). His writings have also been published in other literary magazines. He has published the following books: "The Bargain and Other Stories" (1987; 1997), "The Club and Other Stories" (1990), "Truth and Experience in the Short Stories of 'Kato Volta' by Dinos Christianopoulos" (study, 1990), "The New Car" (short stories, 1995), "The Song of the Sirens" (short stories, 2000, State Short Story Award and Short Story Award from the magazine "Diavazo"), "Her Most Beautiful Day" (short stories, 2010). His short stories have been translated into German, English, and Dutch.
