Sotiris Sofias

Sotiris Sofias was born in Corinth in 1961. He completed his secondary education in his hometown in 1979. He pursued higher studies at the National Technical University of Athens in the Department of Surveying Engineering, from which he graduated in 1985. He served his military service in the Engineering Corps of the Hellenic Army as a reserve officer. His great passion has always been painting, which he has been involved in since he was a child, having created over 300 oil paintings. However, the love of his life was and remains Astronomy. Three telescopes have been his means of exploring the wonders of the sky, while countless Astronomy books adorn his library. His restless nature has led him in recent years to the enchanting paths of exploration and research. He did not limit himself to the well-trodden paths of Science but dared to venture into the exploration of mysteries and the "dark" areas of established views. The result was the discovery of unknown information and reaching very interesting conclusions that challenge the conventional understanding of our world...
