
David Sedaris
David Sedaris was born in 1957 to a Greek father and an American mother in the state of New York. A playwright, humorist, and actor, and a regular commentator on National Public Radio, he has authored bestsellers such as "Barrel Fever" (1994), "Naked" (1997), "Holidays on Ice" (1997), "Me Talk Pretty One Day" (2000), "Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim" (2004), and "When You Are Engulfed in Flames" (2008). His humor, often self-deprecating, touches on topics such as his middle-class upbringing in North Carolina, his Greek heritage, school, drugs, and homosexuality. His works have been translated into 25 languages. He is a regular contributor to The New Yorker magazine and BBC Radio 4. He currently resides in England.
