
Kostas THeologou
Kostas Theologou is an Associate Professor of History and Philosophy of Culture at the National Technical University of Athens. He was born in Thessaloniki in October 1960 and graduated from the Experimental School of the University of Thessaloniki. He studied Law and Political Science at the University of Athens. He pursued postgraduate studies at the Sorbonne University (Paris-I, Pantheon Sorbonne) in Social History and Social Theory under Jean-Marie Vincent, a proponent of the Frankfurt School in France. His doctoral degree from the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Law at the School of Applied Mathematics and Physical Sciences of NTUA (2006) focuses on social identities and the Sociology of Culture in multinational urban environments. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the National Technical University of Athens and other universities. He has also taught in tertiary private and secondary public education.
He has published monographs, translations, textbooks, and has edited lecture notes for teaching purposes. His works (articles or chapters) have been published or are forthcoming in foreign and Greek journals or collective volumes. His critical reviews of new publications have appeared in the journals Entefktirio, Diavazo, To Dentro, Odos Panos, among others. His writings can also be found in the journals Anti, Mousiki, Ardin, Nemesis, and in newspapers such as Makedonia, Efimerida ton Syntakton, Avgi, Ta Nea, and others.
