Kate Mosse

The British author and radio producer Kate Mosse was born in 1961 in West Sussex, UK. She hosted the highly successful BBC 4 program "Readers and Writers Roadshow" and currently presents the radio show "Saturday Review" on the same channel. She made her debut in fiction with the highly successful novel "Labyrinth" in 2005, which sold millions of copies worldwide and won the Richard and Judy Best Book Award at the British Book Awards the following year. This success was followed by the novel "The Winter Ghosts" in 2009, as well as the next two novels of her "Languedoc Trilogy": "Sepulchre" in 2007 and "Citadel" in 2012. She is one of the founders of the Orange Prize for Fiction, a literary award for women writers, which was launched in 1996. She is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. In 2000, she was honored with the European Woman of Achievement award for her contribution to the arts. She lives with her family in West Sussex and Carcassonne.
