Marianthi Kaplanoglou

Mariánthi Kaplanoglou was born in Athens and is a third-generation Asia Minor Greek. She studied at the University of Athens and the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris. She is a lecturer at the University of the Aegean, where she teaches courses on "Folklore" and "Cultural Relations in the Wider Greek and Balkan Region." She has published studies on fairy tales in books and in both Greek and international academic journals. Additionally, she has published ten children's novels and has been awarded the 1st Prize for Children's Novels by the Circle of the Greek Children's Book.
