Gina Ford
Gina Ford, a child from a large family, grew up on a farm at the border of England and Scotland, and from a young age, she demonstrated her talent in caring for her younger siblings. To finance her studies in tourism in Edinburgh, she worked with a major babysitting agency, where she quickly became very popular among the parents of young children.
She worked in London and abroad in her field of study, but even there, she found that her inclination towards infant and toddler care repeatedly led her to take on the role of a nanny. Thus, when she returned to England, she decided to professionally pursue infant and toddler care. Gradually, she developed her programs and procedures, based on simple logic and the vast experience she gained, initially from the young children she personally cared for (more than 300 happy babies) and subsequently from the experiences of mothers and fathers who followed her advice.
According to two recent surveys by the Daily Mail, she is considered one of the most influential women in health matters in England today, while The Times has included her in the list of the top fifty people influencing the way Britons eat, exercise, and think today.
