Z. D. Ainalis

Z. D. Ainalis was born in 1982 in Athens. He has published the poetry collections "Electrography" (Gavriilidis Editions, 2006), "The Silence of Siva" (Vakxikon.gr Editions, 2011, 2016), "Mythology" (Panoptikon Editions, 2013), "The Desert Tales" (Kedros, 2017), as well as the collection of poetic narratives "Fragments" (Gavriilidis Editions, 2008). His poems have been translated into English, French, and Portuguese. He collaborated with Giorgos Bakalis in writing the screenplay for the short film "The Story of a Peaceful Man," based on a prose poem by Henri Michaux. He has translated a wide range of European poets, mainly French and English, as well as prose writers and essayists for numerous Greek literary magazines (both print and online). He lives and works in Mytilene.
