Georgios Sidiropoulos

Georgios Sidiropoulos is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at the University of the Aegean. He is an Urban Planner and Spatial Planner (VIII University of Paris) and holds a Ph.D. in Geography (IV University of Paris - Sorbonne & Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers). His professional and research interests include the study of spaces with historical and cultural significance and the development of digital applications for three-dimensional, virtual representation. For many years, he served as the director of the Laboratory of Geographic Analysis and Cartography (Foundation of the Hellenic World). He has taught in the Department of Spatial Planning, Urban Planning & Regional Development (University of Thessaly) and the Open University. He has authored books and published articles in scientific journals and the press.
