Jim Lee

Jim Lee
Jim Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea, in 1964. He graduated from Princeton University with a degree in psychology but decided to try his luck in comics, his childhood fantasy. He began working at Marvel Comics, where his talent was quickly recognized, leading the company to release a new X-Men title under his exclusive supervision. In 1992, he founded his own comic book company, Wildstorm Productions, which became one of the companies that formed Image Comics. With Wildstorm, he published Wildc.a.t.s, which achieved great commercial success, as well as other well-known series like Gen 13. He played a significant role in discovering and training new talented writers and visual artists. However, the company's great success resulted in increased demands. Consequently, he had no time left for drawing, so he decided to sell the company to DC Comics. He remains at Wildstorm as an editorial director but has once again dedicated himself to his first love, drawing. In 2004, he worked on Superman, and he is currently illustrating All-Star Batman & Robin, written by Frank Miller. He lives in La Jolla, California, with his wife, Angie, and their three daughters, Tyler, Kelsey, and Siena.
