Giota Dienni

Giota Dienni was born in Athens. She studied Classical Philology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and completed a postgraduate program in education at the Hellenic Open University. She graduated with honors in advanced studies of Italian language and culture at the Italian Institute of Athens (Diploma Superiore di Lingua e di Cultura Italiana). She works as a philologist in secondary education while also studying in the Department of Theatre Studies at the University of the Peloponnese (School of Fine Arts). Her poems have been published in literary magazines, and in 2011 she was awarded by the Parnassos Literary Society for her poetry collection "Lyrical Epic." Her poetry collection "Archive of Hopes" is her second literary endeavor, following her first poetic work titled "Paramythia," published in 2000. Today, she lives and works as a teacher in Athens.
