Hans Christian Andersen

Hans Christian Andersen was born in Odense in 1805 and passed away in Copenhagen in 1875. He spent his childhood in a rather strict environment, but after his father's death, he moved to Copenhagen, where he intended to seek his fortune as a singer, actor, dancer, and poet. Securing a scholarship, he completed his studies, and after a failed marriage, he began traveling to France, Switzerland, Spain, and Italy. During this period, he published several of his writings. In Italy, particularly in Rome, his talent for writing fairy tales blossomed. Following his first collection, "Fairy Tales for Children," many others followed, almost one each year. Beyond the fairy tales, for which he is renowned, he also wrote some novels, travel books, and the autobiographies "The Book of Life" and "The Fairy Tale of My Life."
