Eirini Mountraki
Eirini Mountraki is a distinguished graduate and Ph.D. holder from the Department of Theatre Studies at the University of Athens. She also studied Italian art and language at the University of Milan as a scholarship recipient. She serves as the Head of Dramaturgy, Library, Archives, and International Relations at the National Theatre, where she has been a specialist artistic associate since 1999. She is the visionary, creator, and director of the Greek Play Project (GPP), a bilingual online platform dedicated to the study, support, and promotion of contemporary Greek works (www.greek-theatre.gr). She teaches Theatre History and Dramaturgy at the Drama School of the Piraeus Association and has taught at other institutions as well. She also taught Theatre at the Higher Military Educational Institution of the Hellenic Army "SAN." In 2018, she taught in the Master's program of the Department of Theatre Studies at the University of the Peloponnese. She has directed performances with amateurs (SAN) and collaborated as a dramaturg with prominent directors. She is the Chair of the Advisory Committee for Free Theatre Grants of the Ministry of Culture (2017-present) and has served on numerous theatre committees. In 2013, she participated in the International Visitors Leadership Program in the United States, focusing on "Promoting Social Change Through the Arts," invited by the United States Department of State - Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. She is the Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Association of Theatre and Performing Arts Critics.
