Vagelis Tzoukas
Vangelis Tzoukas was born in Arta in 1974. He holds a degree and a PhD from the Department of Sociology at Panteion University and is a member of the Hellenic Open University faculty. In 2003, he defended his doctoral dissertation titled "The Chieftains of EDES in Epirus 1942-44: Locality and Political Affiliation," which was published by Estia in 2013. From 2005 to 2006, he was a postdoctoral researcher on the project "Organizations of the Greek Resistance - The Case of EDES (Leadership, Social Structure, Post-War Influence)" at the Department of Political Science and History at Panteion University. He has taught at the Department of Philosophy and Social Studies and the Department of Political Science at the University of Crete. He has published articles and studies on modern Greek and European history, as well as on issues related to the sociology of violence.
