Alivizos Sofos

Dr. phil. Alivizos Sofos studied Pedagogy in Italy, Greece, and Germany and completed his doctoral dissertation in Germany. From 1996 to 1998, he taught under contract at German universities (Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, Landau-Koblenz). From 1998 to 2004, he was a research associate at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, specializing in the field of Media Pedagogy. During the same period, he served as the scientific director of study programs for Youth Protection on the Internet. These programs are under the auspices of the central administration organization of the 16 Ministries of Youth and Social Affairs of the federal states of Germany. Since 2004, he has been an Assistant Professor at the University of the Aegean in the Department of Primary Education, focusing on Pedagogy with an emphasis on Media Pedagogy.
