Sofia Dionysopoulou

Sophia Dionysopoulou was born in Cairo in 1966. She studied comparative literature at the Sorbonne and classical singing and photography in Greece. She has written a collection of short prose titled "With the Blessings of the Dead" (Agra Publications) and the following theatrical texts: "Nychtodia" (Agra Publications), "Neropompi" (Nefeli Publications), "Iphigenia of Euripides" (Nefeli Publications). "Nychtodia" received the award for emerging playwright and was performed at the Intercity Festival in Florence. Since 2000, she has been involved in directing and has staged six performances. She has also translated works by many authors, including Casanova (Agra Publications), Saint-John Perse (Poetry Magazine), Molière (Epikairotita Publications), Balzac (Agra Publications), Sade (Agra Publications), as well as librettos for the Greek National Opera.
