Joan Preppernau

H Joan Preppernau has authored more than a dozen books on Windows and Office, including the popular "Microsoft Windows XP Step by Step," and has contributed to the development of Microsoft's certification exams for Office 2007 and Windows Vista. Having learned to use computers thanks to her father, Joan has been involved in various areas of the computer industry, which has fueled her enthusiasm for creating engaging, useful, and user-friendly educational materials. Joan is the president of Online Training Solutions, Inc. (OTSI) and is a passionate advocate of remote work. Thanks to the power of the Internet and her passion for technology, she has lived in New Zealand, Sweden, Denmark, and various parts of the United States over the past 15 years. Having discovered the joy of a daily dose of sunshine, Joan moved to San Diego, California, with her husband Barry and their daughter Trinity.
