Daniel Kehlmann

Daniel Kehlmann is one of the most prominent European authors of the younger generation. He was born in Munich in 1975. He is a member of the Academy of Sciences and Literature in Mainz, as well as the German Academy for Language and Literature. He began publishing at the age of 22. He gained attention with his novel "Me and Kaminski" (Kastaniotis Editions, 2008) and soon established himself in the minds of critics and readers with his novel "Measuring the World" (Kastaniotis Editions, 2007), one of the most successful works of contemporary German literature, which has been translated into more than 40 languages. His work has been honored with several awards, including the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Literature Prize and the Kleist, Thomas Mann, and Friedrich Hölderlin Literary Prizes. His books "Fame" (2009), "F" (2013), and "You Should Have Left" (2017) are also available from Kastaniotis Editions. All of the author's works have been translated by Kostas Kosmas.
