Maria CHnaraki

Maria Chnaraki is the Director of Greek Studies at Drexel University in Philadelphia, USA. She holds a degree from the Department of Music Studies at the University of Athens and has earned master's (M.A.) and doctoral (Ph.D.) degrees in ethnomusicology, folklore, and cultural anthropology from Indiana University in Bloomington. Additionally, she has a piano diploma from the Hellenic Conservatory of Athens and degrees in vocal music, harmony, and counterpoint from the National Conservatory of Athens. She has received several awards and has presented her work at international conferences, published articles and reviews, and taught as well as performed dances and songs from the Mediterranean.
