Eleni Priovolou

Eleni Priovolou was born in Angelokastro, Mesolongi, where she lived until the age of 18. She studied political science at Panteion University. She writes in pursuit of harmony and clarity of expression. Her inclination to depict the world through symbols led her to the realm of fairy tales, a genre she has dedicated herself to for twenty-three years. She has a deep love for children and, through her books, seeks to connect with the world of children and their sensitive souls. She has authored twenty-one books for children and teenagers, seven novels for adults, one novella, and a book of stories. Her adult novel "As I Wanted to Live" (Kastaniotis, 2009) was honored with the "Readers' Award of the National Book Centre of Greece" in 2010. She also received the "Award for Older Children" from the magazine "Diavazo" for her book "The Password" (2009).
