Caroline Finkel

Caroline Finkel has lived in Istanbul for many years and has traveled extensively throughout Turkey and the former Ottoman territories. She earned a Ph.D. in Ottoman History from the School of Oriental and African Studies and has since published numerous articles. She has studied Hungarian, Arabic, and Persian, in addition to Ottoman and modern Turkish. "Ottoman Empire" is her third book.
