
Vasileios E. Nikopoulos
Vasileios Nikopoulos was born in 1942 in the village of Pogoniskos in the Konitsa region of Ioannina. He is married with two children. He graduated from Konitsa High School with honors and was admitted to the Law School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, ranking first in the entrance exams. He obtained his degree with distinction and was awarded a doctorate from the same university. In 1971, he entered the judiciary and was appointed as a salaried associate judge at the Thessaloniki Court of First Instance. He successfully progressed through all levels of the judicial hierarchy and was selected as President of the Supreme Court of Greece in 2007. He has published numerous legal studies in various legal journals.
Alongside his scientific and high-ranking judicial career, he also engaged in literature. He made his literary debut with the short story "The Vow," which was published in the magazine "Nea Estia," where he published a series of short stories.
