Eleni Kefala

Eleni Kefala was born in Athens in 1975 and grew up in Cyprus. She studied at the University of Cyprus and Cambridge and worked at the University of Pennsylvania as a postdoctoral researcher. She is an Associate Professor of Latin American Literature at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. She made her debut in poetry in 2007 with the book "Memory and Variations" (Planodion). This was followed by the poetry collection "Chronography" (Nefeli, 2013), which was honored with the State Poetry Prize in Cyprus. Her poems have been translated into English, French, Italian, Turkish, and Romanian.
