Giannis Atzakas

Giannis Atzakas was born in 1941 in Theologos, Thasos. He graduated in 1966 from the School of Philosophy at the University of Thessaloniki and worked in private and public secondary education after 1975. "Folded Wings" was the first prose work he published in 2007. It was followed by the novel "Muddy Depths" the next year, which was awarded the State Novel Award in 2009.
