
Christopher G. Fairburn
Christopher G. Fairburn, DM, FRCPsych, FMedSci, is a Senior Research Fellow and Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Oxford. He specializes in the nature and treatment of eating disorders and obesity. His research focuses on various aspects of eating disorders, including diagnosis, epidemiology, etiology, assessment, course, and treatment. Professor Fairburn has a particular interest in the development and evaluation of psychological therapies. He has received research funding in both the United Kingdom and the United States and has an extensive body of published work in this field. Professor Fairburn has twice been a Fellow at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences.
