Odysseas Spachis

Odysseas Spachis was born in Anogeia, Crete, in 1963, where he completed his secondary education. He then studied at the Law School of the University of Athens, followed by postgraduate studies in Public Law and Political Science, specializing in Constitutional Law. He has published essays on political philosophy, poetry, and folk culture in reputable literary journals and has delivered invited lectures on topics of scientific and literary interest at symposia and seminars. Additionally, his poems and short stories have been published in various literary and poetry magazines. His body of work includes the poetry collection "Amichano Kallos" and the following: 1) essays: a) "The Sacred and the Law in Minoan Myth" (Analogia Publications, 2002), b) "Memory of the World and the Poet" (Taxideftis Publications, 2007), and 2) the poetry collection "The Purple Mask" (Idmon Publications, 2010). On June 15, 2015, he was awarded the "Panagiotis Foteas" Free Thought Essay Award by the Mayor of Kalamata for his essay "Fundamental Symbols of European Culture."
