Ilias A. Toumasatos

Ilias Toumasatos was born in March 1974 in Argostoli, Kefalonia. He lives there year-round. In the mornings, he goes to school at the Vallianeio General Lyceum of Kerameies, attending all classes related to Social Sciences. During his free time, he reads, writes, daydreams, and strives to continue loving people. All the while, he listens to the music playing in his head. Before teaching, he attended university twice but didn't pursue careers in his fields of study (Law, Theatre Studies). Instead, he found himself leafing through and organizing thousands of books at the Korgialenios Library—he loved books from a young age, and there he also developed a love for research. Consequently, he earned a Ph.D. in History, but, between us, he knows nothing about names and dates. In 2014, Aigialos Publishing released his first literary book. It was "The Little Wizard and Other Stories," followed two years later by "The Soul of a Goodnight" and "The Tale of the Imprisoned Bird." He never had a dog. However, the idea of Panagis and Diego, Mr. Grigoris's wonderful little dog, inspired him to write the book "Odysseus in the Land of Mythical Dogs."
