Neoklis Galanopoulos

Neoklis Galanopoulos was born in Athens in 1972. He practices "litigation" law, primarily focusing on labor law cases, a field he was particularly inclined towards since his student years, often opposing the "big employer," the State. His favorite pastimes include reading literature, with a preference for detective fiction (especially whodunits), literary and translation theory, philosophy, history, and dictionaries, as well as cinema (across the spectrum). From a young age, he crafted stories featuring "detectives" solving mysteries. His books, "The Variation of Giorgos Darsinos" (Topos 2007) and "Death from Nowhere" (Topos 2008), have received commendable reviews from all the reputable critics in the genre. The author has also translated the classic detective novel "The Hollow Man" (Topos 2008) by John Dickson Carr. He is a member of the Greek Crime Writers' Club (E.L.S.A.L.). He has published the novels "The Variation of Giorgos Darsinos" (Topos, 2007) and "Death from Nowhere" (Topos, 2008), the novella collection "Family Crimes" (Topos, 2011), and "The Return of Inspector Bekas" (Kastaniotis, 2012). His short stories have been broadcast on the radio show "Cops and Robbers" on 902. He has contributed to collective short story volumes "Eco-Crimes" (Kedros, 2008), "The Last Journey - Eleven Noir Stories" (Metaichmio, 2009), "Dangerous Entry" (Metaichmio, 2011), and "Cops and Robbers," Psychogios, 2013.
