Akis Papantonis

Akis Papantonis was born in Athens in 1978. He is a professor at the University of Göttingen's Medical School. He studied biology at the University of Athens and worked as a researcher at the University of Oxford. He has published prose in Greek and English literary magazines, as well as critical notes in the newspaper Efimerida ton Syntakton. His short stories have been included in the collective volumes "We Are All Immigrants" (Patakis, 2007) and "11 Words" (Kalendis, 2013). He was awarded the Debut Prose Writer Prize by the electronic magazine O Anagnostis for his novella "Karyotype" (Kichli, 2014).
