Nikos Tzanakos

Nikos Tzanakos was born in 1956 and hails from Mani. He lives and works in Patras. He holds a degree from the School of Humanities at the Hellenic Open University and a master's degree in Adult Education from the same institution. He also studied mathematics at the University of Patras, as well as management and telecommunications at the OTE Academy, where he currently serves as an executive. A person with a rich background in union activities, he served as the president of the Panhellenic Association of OTE Employees from 1984 to 1995, a representative at the Patras Labor Center, and a member of the Board of Directors of the OTE Workers' Federation. Since 1995, he has been a Municipal Councilor and has served as Deputy Mayor and President of the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Patras. From 2007 to 2011, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Patras Port Authority (OLPA S.A.). Since 2003, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the International Children's Games (I.C.G.), which operates under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee (I.O.C.). He is a founding member of the association "Marsyas," which is dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and repatriation of ancient monuments.
