Michail S. Kardamakis

Fr. Michael Kardamakis (1932-2008) hailed from Crete. He studied Theology at the University of Athens and pursued postgraduate studies in Graz, Austria. He was awarded a Doctorate in Theology from the Faculty of Theology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He dedicated his life to the organization and enhancement of Ecclesiastical Education in our country. As a priest, he served in Crete, Graz, Katerini, Lamia, and Athens. He is considered among the great contemporary Orthodox theologians and is characterized as the theologian of freedom, asceticism, and beauty. His profound literary work includes approximately twenty books.
