Dimitris Agelis

Dimitris Angelis was born in Athens in 1973. He is a poet and essayist, holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Athens, and is the editor of the magazine "Frear" as well as the co-editor of the annual publication "Anthivola." He has published seven poetry collections, essays, studies, and short stories. He has been honored with the Corda Foundation Translation Award, the Lambros Porphyra Award from the Academy of Athens for his poetry collection "Anniversary" (in 2009), and the State Poetry Award for his poetry collection "A Deer Cries on My Bed" (in 2016, jointly with the book "The Third Generation" by Sofia Kolotourou). His books "Aniversario" and the poetry anthology "Si fuera tu noche" have been published in Spanish.
