
Gillian Flynn
Gillian Flynn was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. She studied at the University of Kansas and completed her graduate studies at Northwestern University. She currently resides in Chicago, where she worked as a television critic for "Entertainment Weekly" magazine before dedicating herself to writing. Her promising start in psychological thrillers began with the books "Sharp Objects" (2006, receiving high praise from authors like Stephen King, and winning the CWA Ian Fleming Steel Dagger and CWA New Blood Dagger awards in the UK, as well as being nominated for the Edgar Award for Best First Novel in the USA) and "Dark Places" (2009) - both available in Greek from Metaichmio Publications. Her third novel, "Gone Girl," is also being published in Greek by Metaichmio Publications. Her books have been translated into many languages and published in more than twenty-five countries.
