Takis Fotopoulos studied Law, Political Science, and Economics at the University of Athens. During his student years, he was actively involved in anti-EKOF union activities. In 1966, he moved to London, where he pursued his postgraduate studies in Economics at the London School of Economics, supported by a scholarship from the University of Athens. During the dictatorship in Greece, he engaged in anti-dictatorial activities in London, collaborating with the newspaper "Mami," published by the Revolutionary Socialist Groups (RSG). From 1969 to 1989, he was a professor of Economics at the University of North London. His works have been published not only in Greek but also in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Norwegian, Arabic, and Turkish. His book in English, "Towards an Inclusive Democracy," has been translated into Greek, Italian, German, French, Spanish, and Chinese. He is the editor of the journal "Democracy and Nature," "The International Journal of Inclusive Democracy," which is published worldwide by the international publisher Carfax/Routledge. Additionally, he is a regular contributor to the newspaper "Eleftherotypia."
