Vasilis Rafailidis

Vasilis Rafailidis was born in 1934 in Servia, Kozani, and passed away in Athens in September 2000. In 1953, he moved to Athens. He studied cinema and worked as an assistant to N. Koundouros and R. Manthoulis. In 1964-65, he was in Algeria with Michalis Raptis. He became a professional film critic for "Democratic Change" (1965). He was part of the editorial team for the magazines "Greek Cinema" (1966) and "Contemporary Cinema" (1968). He worked as a film critic and reporter for "To Vima" (1974-1983) and as a film critic, commentator, and columnist for "Ethnos" (1983-1998). His last publications were columns in "Eleftherotypia."
