Spyros Giannaras

Spyros Giannaras was born in 1972 in Athens. He studied French literature and literary theory in Paris. For ten years, he worked at the newspaper Kathimerini, writing articles (mainly about books, photography, and visual arts) and conducting interviews with Greek and foreign authors. He has collaborated with several literary magazines, such as "Nea Estia," "Entefktirio," "Efthini," "Frear," "L'atelier du roman," among others, primarily publishing book reviews and short stories. He is involved in book criticism and translation. He has translated works by Pierre Assouline, Paul Auster, Laurent Mauvignier, and Michel Houellebecq.
