Symeon Stampoulou

Symeon Gr. Stamboulou teaches Greek language and literature at the University of Leipzig. In Greece, his works have been published, including "Sources of Yiannis Skarimpas' Prose: The Voice of Silence on the Interwar Stage" (SOV, Athens, 2006) and "The Shadow of Writing: Studies and Notes on Yiannis Skarimpas" (Ankyra Publications, Athens, 2009). In 2013, he was awarded the "Aris Alexandrou" Translated Poetry Prize, and in 2014, he received the State Prize for Translation of Foreign Literature into Greek (jointly with Dionysis Kapsalis, translator of a Shakespeare play) for his translation of Rainer Maria Rilke's "Duino Elegies" (Stigmi Publications, 2012).
