Glykeria Mitsiou - Daktyla
Glykeria Mitsiou - Daktyla holds a Ph.D. in Neuropsychology, Learning Disabilities, and Disorders of Writing and Speech from the Department of Special Education at the University of Thessaly, and serves as a School Counselor for Primary Education in the Karditsa region. From 1997 to 1999, she worked at the Neuropsychology Unit of the Department of Preschool Education at the University of Thessaly, engaging in both clinical and research work. Between 1999 and 2002, she was involved in research, clinical, and teaching activities at the Neuropsychology Laboratory of the Department of Special Education at the same university. During 1997-2002, she taught at the Department of Preschool Education (Equivalence Program) and the Department of Special Education at the University of Thessaly, holding the position of Lecturer. She is a Scientific Associate at the Technological Educational Institute of Larissa, Department of Nursing, teaching in Continuing Education Programs on "Mental Health - Special Education." She also teaches in the Master's Program "Primary Health Care" at the Medical School of the University of Thessaly. Glykeria is a member of the Hellenic Psychological Society (HPS) - Neuropsychology branch (responsible for editing the branch's monthly newsletter), a member of the Society for Social Pediatrics in Greece, and the Special Secretary of the Council of the Society for Health Care and Education (SHCE). She is also a member of the Hellenic Society for Neurosciences (HSN), and scientific societies FENS (Federation of European Neuroscience Societies) and IBRO (International Brain Research Organization), as well as the Panhellenic Association of Educators Specialized in Special Education. She is an authorized Associate of the Hellenic Pediatric Society (A' test: Screening Test for School Readiness). Glykeria has participated in 110 International, Global, Pan-European, and Panhellenic Conferences, presenting an equal number of scientific papers. Her work focuses on the early diagnosis and rehabilitation of children and adolescents with Dyslexia, Learning Disabilities, Writing and Speech Disorders, and Behavioral Disorders, utilizing innovative specialized therapeutic programs.
